Sunday, 15th: Semester 1 Completion

To say I have finished my first semester brings me the greatest joy! The course of the MA so far has been tough (a lot harder than anticipated) but through all these opportunities to explore and experiment, has only led me to want to experiment more.

Also, the website has had a little re-vamp so please feel free to look around and let me know of any improvements I can do. 🙂 I have taken down my ‘Personal Collection’ page until I have got a little more substance to add. At the moment, it was looking like a piece opposed to a collection.

The end of semesters hindsight has led me to see that the piece, Untitled, is a footstep in the direction I would like to head.

Untitled, oil on canvas, 30 x 40cm

There is a good balance of light and dark as well as a freedom of mark making I lost from doing the feathers. Feather patterns emerge within this, but Untitled still holds an essence of flowers and translucency.

But… the meantime, I’m going to give myself a little break from the course (a little holiday), and I am going to spend some time with my prince;
