Friday mornings are great for me to do little odd bits before work;
Painting round the edges of nearly finished paintings is a great way to sort of unwind. It’s like tidying up your own mess, not really something you want to do, but it always feels great once it’s done. I would say this painting is 98% finished, there’s just a tiny tiny bit more to work on to bring it all together!
These paintings are a good exercise for anyone who is apprehensive before starting something big. They break down barriers between yourself and the paint, almost warming you up to the big event. I’m hoping to try different ideas on the next ones, which may or may not be projected onto a larger scale.
A quick finish for this little study! I hope to do a couple more in this format, in hopes of maybe framing some for my exhibition;
